GENERATION 1
Thomas Graves (1) was born about 1810 in Alvingham, Lincolnshire, England. He may have been a son of Edward Graves of genealogy 976. He first married Eleanor ‑‑‑‑‑‑. She was born about 1809 in Cawthorpe, Lincs. They were in the 1841 census of Little Cawthorpe, Lincs., when he was a carpenter. They were in the 1851 census of Legbourne, Lincs., when he was a wheelwright. Their first 6 children were born in Legbourne, Lincs., and the last 2 in Cawthorpe.
He married second Susan ‑‑‑‑‑‑. She was born about 1820-1824 in Old Leake, Lincs. They were in the 1861 and 1871 censuses for Legbourne, when he was a carpenter. They were in the 1881 census for Legbourne, when he was a retired wheelwright. There do not seem to have been any children by this second marriage, since none were listed in any census.

8. Isaac Graves, b.c. 1843, m. Susanna ‑‑‑‑‑‑. In the 1891 census for Louth, Lincs., when he was a carpenter, and no children. She was b.c. 1848 in Orby, Lincs.

GENERATION 2
CHILDREN OF THOMAS GRAVES (1) AND ELEANOR ------
William Graves (2) was born about 1832 in Legbourne,
Lincolnshire. He married Ann ‑‑‑‑‑‑. She was born about 1831 in Legbourne. They were in the 1861, 1871, 1881 and 1891
censuses for Legbourne, Lincs. He was
listed as a cordwainer in 1861 and a shoemaker in 1871, 1881 and 1891. All their children were born in Legbourne.

He was an agricultural labourer in 1871, and a woodman cutter in 1901.
