CHILDREN OF FRANCIS GRAVES (1)

James G. Graves (2) was born 9 July 1838 in Manchester, Ontario Co., NY, and died 3 Nov. 1906 in Anoka, Anoka Co., NY. He married Phebe Jane Wells on 13 April 1859 in Victor, Ontario Co., NY. She was born about 1842 in NY. Subsequently, they lived in McHenry Co., IL, Cerro Gordo Co., IA, Brown Co., MN, and in Minneapolis, MN.

They were listed in the 1880 census of Storden, Cottonwood Co., MN, which showed James as a farmer, wife Phebe and daughters Lewella and Sarah keeping school (apparently teaching school), and son Charles attending school. (R-1)

Jane Graves (3) was born about 1841 in Ontario Co., NY. The 1880 census for McHenry, McHenry Co., IL listed her name as Jana and listed him as a laborer. She married Ichabod Wells of Ontario Co., NY. He was born about 1852 in NY. All their children were born in IL. (R-1)
