Rebecca Graves (1) was born 7 Nov. 1676 in Sudbury, Middlesex Co., MA (Sudbury Vital Records, p. 58), died 6 Feb. 1719/20 in Sudbury, MA (VR, p. 306), and was buried in Sudbury, MA. She married Edmund (or Edward Edmund per R-189) Goodenow, son of John Goodenow and Mary Axtell, as his third wife before 1694. Edmund was born 16 Oct. 1661 in Sudbury, MA (VR, p. 52), and died 31 May 1727 in Sudbury, MA (VR, p. 306). He first married Dorothy Man/Mann 6 June 1686 in Sudbury, MA (VR, p. 202). She was born in 1663, and died 2 April 1689 in Sudbury, MA (VR, p. 305). They had two children, Edmund, born 28 Feb. 1686/7 and Dorothy, born 17 Jan. 1687/8 (both recorded in Sudbury VR, p. 52). Edmund married second Sarah ------ about 1690. She died 6 Nov. 1691 in Sudbury, MA (VR, p. 306). They had one son, Ebenezer, born 25 Oct. 1691 in Sudbury, MA (VR, p. 52), died about 1703. He married fourth Hannah Allen on 2 June 1720 in Sudbury, MA (VR, p. 202).

Although it has not been proven that this is the same Rebecca Graves (#14 in genealogy 166, John Graves of Concord, MA) who was the daughter of John Graves and Mary Chamberlain, it is believed that this is true. The Aug. 1, 2001 version of this genealogy was included in the Appendix of the John Graves of Concord, MA book. (R-64, R-189)

He married Mary Griffin/Griffen, daughter of Jonathan Griffin and Lydia Parmenter, on 30 April 1730 in Sudbury, MA (Sudbury VR, p. 204). She was born 13 Dec. 1704 in Sudbury, MA (VR, p. 60). The children listed below were born in Sudbury, MA. On 7 Nov. 1748 in Stow, Middlesex Co., MA, he sold land to his son Samuel. His will was probated in Middlesex Co., MA. (R-64)

He first married Elizabeth Allen, daughter of Ensign Joseph Allen and Elizabeth Robbins, on 31 Oct. 1729 in Weston, Middlesex Co, MA (Weston VR, p. 264). This is also recorded in Sudbury, MA as 5 Feb. 1728/29 on p. 202 of the Sudbury, MA vital records. He married Abigail Griffin/Griffen, daughter of Jonathan Griffin and Lydia Parmenter, on 30 April 1730 in Sudbury, MA (VR, p. 204). She was born 1 June 1713 in Sudbury, MA, and died about 1807 in MA or NH. He bought land in Spencer, MA in 1767 and described himself as "of Spencer". He married Almira Hannah Templeton, daughter of Castle Noble Templeton and Abagail Vanderbogart, on 3 July 1862 in Ellenburgh, Clinton Co., NY. She was born 1 Jan. 1844 in Ellenburgh, NY, died 1 Oct. 1912 in Stockton, CA, and buried 3 Oct. 1912 in Stockton, CA. All children, with the exception of Charles Emory Mead, who was born in Robinson, Huerfano Co., CO, were born in Ellenburg, NY. (R-190)
