[1] According to the 1850 census, she was born about 1842, and was the oldest child of her parents. She was not found in the 1860 census, and it is wondered whether she had a first marriage and was recorded under a different name. In the 1900 census, her date of birth was given as Aug. 1845, but that may have been because her husband was much younger, and she was pretending she was somewhat younger also. In the 1880 census, he was listed as 26, and she was 43, and the ages of their 4 children didnÕt match the dates in the 1900 census exactly.
