[1] Her maiden name is from R‑5, who sent a copy of the Form of Application for Admission of a Child into the North Georgia Conference Orphans Home at Decatur Georgia, dated Oct. 23, 1919. The only puzzling thing about this application is that it lists James Graves and Mattie Fielding as the parents of the six children to be admitted to the orphanage, whereas it seems quite clear that the parents were James Burton Graves and Lou Goldman. Perhaps the grandparents were temporarily looking after the children and were helping in the process of admission to the orphanage.
