Robert Grieve (3) was born about 1743 in Crail, Fife, Scotland. He married Agnes Kilgour, daughter of John Kilgour and Jean Robertson, about 1775 in Leuchars, Fife, Scotland. She was born about 1752 in Kilmany, Fife. All their children were born in Leuchars, Fife, Scotland.

(Charmaine Andresen wrote that Robert Grieve died in Feb. 1812, and was buried 19 Feb. 1812 to the right of John Peattie. He married Catherine Peattie, daughter of Thomas Peattie and Janet Simpson, on 8 Feb. 1768 in Crail, Fife. She was buried 2 July 1808 on the left side of John Peattie. They had 5 children: Robert, died before 1778; Robert, bapt. 22 Nov. 1778, m. Isobel Burnes, 16 Oct. 1808; Janet; Isabel, m. George Taylor, 12 Jan. 1800.) (R‑1)
