was born in Aug. 1865 in Quebec, Canada.
He married Leontine ‑‑‑‑‑‑
about 1888, probably in MA. She
was born in Feb. 1876 in Quebec.
They were in the 1900 census for Springfield, Hampden Co., MA, when he
was a spooler in a warp mill. Both
their parents were born in Quebec.
They both immigrated to the U.S. in 1896. They have not yet been found on any other censuses.

Joseph William
Graves (3) was born 9 March 1869, probably in Quebec, Canada (according to the
1900 census, although R‑1 says probably in Montville, New London Co.,
CT), died 28 Sept. 1933 in Backus Hospital, Norwich, CT, and was buried in
Maplewood Cem., Norwich,
CT. He first married Mary Berube (Maria Antonia Delphine Berube), daughter of Jean-Baptiste
Berube and Arthemise-Josephine
Emond.
She was born 18 Nov. 1868 in La Pocatiere,
Quebec, Canada. According to R‑2,
she was born 17 Nov. 1869 in Quebec, died 2 Dec. 1938, and was buried in
Precious Blood Cem.,
Woonsocket, RI. They were in the
1900 census for Springfield, Hampden Co., MA, when he was a twister in a carpet
mill, and all of their first 4 children (Georgiana, Wilfred, Eva, and Albina) were still living. He hasnŐt yet been found in the 1910 or 1920 censuses. According to the 1900 census, Joseph
immigrated to the U.S. in 1869 (the year of his birth), and Mary immigrated to
the U.S. in 1880.
He married second
Margaret (Mary) Horsey. She was
born about 1898 in England. They
were in the 1930 census for Norwich, New London Co., CT, when he was a weaver
in a woolen mill. (R‑1, R‑2)

was born 28 Aug. 1895 in MA, and died about 1959. He married Viola ‑‑‑‑‑‑
about 1920. (According to R‑2
he married Catherine ‑‑‑‑‑‑; perhaps she
was a second wife.) She was born
about 1900 in MA. They were in the
1930 census for Woonsocket, Providence Co., RI, with his mother Mary and his
brother Henry living with them. He
was an automobile mechanic in 1930.

Dora Elise Graves
(10) was born 27 Nov. 1901 in Enfield, Hampshire Co., MA, and died 21 Jan. 1971
in Woonsocket, Providence Co., RI.
She married Ernest Clayton Lemeir, son of
William Lemeir and Jennie Clough, on 21 Dec. 1916 in
the First Methodist Church, Woonsocket, RI. He was born 21 July 1893 in Lisbon, NH, and died of heart
failure and Hodgkins Disease on 26 May 1968 in Woonsocket,
RI. All their children were born
in Woonsocket, RI. They were in
the 1930 census for Woonsocket, RI, when he was a weaver in a wool mill. (R‑2)

Roseanna, Eva and Sylvia (all born in MA), were in the
1930 census for Uxbridge, Worcester Co., MA, when he was a grocery delivery

Woonsocket, RI, single, working as a finisher in a plush mill, living with his
