DESCENDANTS OF WILLARD GRAVES AND ANNA M. LUKER

OF MA & MN

GENERATION 1

Willard Graves (1) was born in MA (according to the birth certificate of his son Clarence, or in IN according to the 1900 census), perhaps about 1852, and died before the 1900 census.  He was a farmer.  He married Anna (ÒAnnieÓ) M. Luker, daughter of William Luker and Maria (or Mariah) ‑‑‑‑‑‑, on 18 July 1880 in the U. B. Church, Rice Co., MN.  She was born 20 March 1864 in IN, and died 7 March 1926.  Annie was widowed, and she and the 2 children were living with her parents in Waterville Twp., Le Sueur Co., MN at the time of the 1900 census.  In the 1880 census for Morristown, Rice Co., MN, Anna was living with her parents.

Willard is almost certainly the William Graves, 28, farm laborer, born in NY, living with the family of Samuel Oblinger, in the 1880 census for Morristown, Rice Co., MN.  His probable brother, Edwin B. Graves, b. May 1847 in NY, was in the 1880 census for Fraser, Martin Co., MN, with a son Willard, b.c. 1879.  (R‑1)
