1831 in Gateshead (next to Newcastle Upon Tyne), Durham, England. He married Christiana (or Christianna
or Christina) Robertson in the June quarter 1849[1]
in Newcastle upon Tyne. She was
born about 1832 in Sunderland, Durham.
They were in the 1861, 1871, and 1881 censuses for Bedlington,
Northumberland. He was a coal
miner. He has not yet been found in
the 1851 census.

Northumberland. They were in the
1881 and 1891 censuses for Middlestone, Durham. He was a coal miner.
Their first child was born in Horton, the next 2 in Bedlington, and last
6 children were born in West Sleekburn, Bedlington, all in Northumberland.

1897. He is probably the one in
the 1901 census of Hirst, Northumberland, born in Swinton, Lancashire, son of
William and Emma Jane Kilner. They
emigrated to Canada in May 1929 on board the ship Andiania, along with their
two children.
