Edward Henry Graves
(8) was born 30 April 1850 in Williamstown, Berkshire Co., MA, and died 16
Sept. 1919 in Canfield, Mahoning Co., OH.
He married Carrie S. Comstock in 1898. She was born 26 Oct. 1853 in MA, and died 23 Oct. 1920 in
Canfield, OH. They were in the
1900 census for Canfield, Mahoning Co., OH, with his sister Anna living with
them.
R‑2 found an
1880 census for Streator, LaSalle Co., IL, that listed an Edward and Carrie
Graves with the same years of birth, and a son Lewis C. Graves, born 4 Oct.
1879 in IL, and died 15 Sept. 1917 in Oak Park, Cook Co., IL. However, places of birth arenÕt exactly
the same, and this couldnÕt be the same Edward if he didnÕt marry until
1898. As conclusive proof that the
Edward and Carrie of the 1880 census were not the ones of this family, they
were in the 1900 census for Streator LaSalle Co., IL. (R‑1, R‑2)
