GENERATION 1
William Claude Graves (1) was born in Oct. 1853 in GA, and died in Meeker, Rio Blanco, CO (or in Evansville, Rio Grande Co., CO, according to R‑2). He married Maude (ÒMaudieÓ) Hollis about 1889. She was born in Sept. 1873 in KY, and died before the 1910 census in TX. They were in the 1900 census for Scofield, Carbon Co., UT. He was in the 1910 census for Palisade, Mesa Co., CO, widowed, with only daughter Pearl living with him. He was a blacksmith in a coal mine. (R‑1, R‑2)

Hattie May Graves (2) was born
in April 1895 in TN or KY. She
married Jesse W. Yeoman about 1911.
He was born about 1893 in CO, and died before the 1940 census. They were in the 1930 census for Grand
Junction, Mesa Co., CO. Hattie was
widowed and living with her brother Joe in 1940.

6. Wilber J. Yeoman, b.c. 1919 (CO). He is probably the J. W. Yeoman in the 1940 census for Salt Lake City, UT, with wife Kathryn.
Pearl Myrtle Graves (3) was
born 1 Aug. 1897[1] in
Frankfort, Franklin Co., KY (or in Louisville, KY, according to R‑2), and
died 22 March 1982 in Vale, Malheur Co., OR. She married George Albert ("Burt") Stapleton, son
of Hugh Jason Stapleton and Sarah Elizabeth Smith. He was born 22 Aug. 1894 in Lexington, NE, and died 8 Jan.
1957 in Klamath Falls, Klamath Co., OR.
All their children were born in CO.
They were in the 1930 census
for Grand Junction, Mesa Co., CO.

Joseph (ÒJoeÓ) N. Graves (5)
was born 21 Feb.1901 in Campo, Baca Co., CO, died 29 Sept. 1958, and was buried
in Golden Gate National Cem., San Bruno, San Mateo Co., CA. He first married Lucy F. Stuller,
daughter of Marion E. Stuller and Rose M. ‑‑‑‑‑‑. He married second ‑‑‑‑‑‑
on 30 June 1944. He was in the
1910 census for Collbran, Mesa Co., CO, boarding with George and Mary Smith,
farmers. He served as a Private in
the Infantry in World War I.
He was in the 1940 census for
Springwater, Clackamas Co., OR, previously living in Grand Junction, Mesa Co.,
CO in 1935, with wife Lucy F., b.c. 1910 in OK, daughter Dolores, b.c. 1930 in
CO, widowed sister Hattie, and his father-in-law Marion E. Stuller. In 1940, he was foreman of a falling
crew for a shingle mill. Marion
and Rose Stuller were living in Whitewater, Mesa Co., CO in 1930.
He was living in Paradise,
Butte Co., CA in 1949. (R‑2)
