1884, both in Cottenham.
The 1851 census
listed them both as 54 years of age, with him an agricultural laborer in
Churchfield, Cambs. The 1861 census
listed them both as 65 years of age, with him as highway laborer living in
Broad Lane. Granddaughter Emma was
staying with them. She was 15, so
not likely to belong to any of the children known. It can reasonably be assumed that there are older children. The 1871 census showed them both 76
years of age, living at Mortons Almshouses.
