William Greaves (48) was born 22 May 1818 in Boston Spa, Yorkshire, and died 15 June 1887 in Oulton cum Woodlesford, Yorkshire. He married Ann Boddy, daughter of Mary Boddy, on 17 Dec. 1844 in Overton, Yorkshire. She was born about 1817 or 1818 in Scalby, Yorkshire, and died 24 Sept. 1902 at Pontefract Road, Oulton, Yorkshire. They were in the 1851 census for Skelton, Yorkshire. (It is not known which Skelton this is.) They were in the 1861 census for Rothwell, Yorkshire (next to Leeds). He could not be found in the 1841 census. They were in the 1871 census for Oulton, Yorkshire (next to Rothwell and Leeds). Living with them in 1871 was Susannah Walker, visitor, 56, possibly a sister of Ann. William was a blacksmith. According to the censuses, all their children were born in Skelton except for Charles who was born in Oulton. (R‑1)
