GENERATION 1

James Graves (1) was born in England, perhaps about 1830. He married Jane Little. She was born in Canada or England. (R‑1)

2. Henry Graves, b.c.1853. Living with Frank in 1880. It is not proven that he was a brother of Frank.

+3. Frank P. R. Graves, b. 4 May 1856, m. Julia A. Burton.

GENERATION 2

CHILDREN OF JAMES GRAVES (1) AND JANE LITTLE

Frank P. R. Graves (3) was born 4 May 1856 (according to his death certificate) or March 1854 (according to the 1900 census) in Syracuse, Onondaga Co., NY. His death certificate gives his place of birth, gives the names of his parents, and says they were both from England. Frank married Julia A. Burton. She was born in May 1857 in Canada. They were in the 1880 and 1900 censuses for West Bay City, Bay Co., MI, and in the 1910 and 1920 censuses for Bay City, Bay Co., MI. He was a clerk in 1880, worked in lumbering in 1900, and worked for the railroad in 1910 and 1920. In the 1920 census, Julia and Clara were listed as immigrated in 1880, Julia naturalized in 1880 and Clara in 1900. Clara was born in Canada, and all the other children in MI. (R‑1)

4. Clara V. Graves, b. May 1874 (Fort Coulonge, Quebec, Canada).

5. George A. Graves, b. Oct. 1880.

6. William J. Graves, b. Jan. 1882, m. Mannie ‑‑‑‑‑‑, c. 1909. He was married in 1910, living next to his parents, but he was living with his parents in 1920, single.

7. Roy O. (or C.) Graves, b. Oct. 1885.

8. Randall E. Graves, b. Oct. 1889.

9. Albert David Graves, b. May 1892.
