PURPOSE OF THE FUND

In order to connect various parts of the Graves, Greaves, etc. families, and to find their earlier ancestries, it is essential to get DNA test results for many families and lines within families. This allows us to establish the ancestral haplotype (that is, the DNA signature of the earliest Graves male in the family) and to determine the connection between related families. Since some people whose test results are needed will not be able to pay, it is very beneficial to all of us to share in the funding of those tests. There are many untested lines in the U.S. and Canada that may require financial support, and there are apt to be even greater financial needs as we encourage family members in England and elsewhere to participate. Your financial help in any amount will be greatly appreciated.
